Important Notes for Finance Department Students Taking Courses at Another University During the 2024-2025 Summer Term

Finance Department students who wish to take courses at another university during the summer school must observe the following:

  • Students must obtain approval from their summer school advisors and apply to the department secretary with an approved request petition to enroll in courses at another university during the summer school.
  • According to Article 6, Paragraph 4 of Afyon Kocatepe University Summer School Implementation Principles, students can take a maximum of 16 (sixteen) credit hours.
  • According to Article 6, Paragraph 9 of the same principles:
    • The content of the desired course must overlap with the equivalent course at AKU by at least 80%.
    • The credits, ECTS, or total course hours of the desired course must be equal to or greater than those of the equivalent course.
    • The program where the course will be taken must belong to a university that had a higher base admission score than the AKU Finance Department in the year the student was admitted.
