2024-2025 Graduation Ceremony Held with Great Enthusiasm
The 2024-2025 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Afyon Kocatepe University was held with great enthusiasm at the Atatürk Congress Center. During the ceremony, graduates from the departments of Economics, Public Finance, Political Science and Public Administration, Business Administration, English Business Administration, and International Trade and Finance celebrated their graduation by tossing their caps into the air.
The event was attended by AKU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Şuayıp Özdemir, FEAS Dean Prof. Dr. Gökhan Demirtaş, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Head of the Department of Public Finance Prof. Dr. İhsan Cemil Demir, Dean of Bolvadin Faculty of Applied Sciences and Head of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration Prof. Dr. Mustafa Fişne, FEAS Vice Deans Dr. Lecturer Hale Fulya Kaya and Dr. Lecturer Ali Balkı, academic staff, students, and their families.
In the opening speeches, Faculty Valedictorian and top graduate of the International Trade and Finance Department, Havva Nur Şahin, emphasized that graduation is not only an academic achievement but also a journey of self-discovery and personal development.
FEAS Dean Prof. Dr. Gökhan Demirtaş, in his address to the graduates, noted that the faculty has a history of over 50 years and has produced more than 19,000 graduates to date. He highlighted the importance of maintaining a connection with the alumni and expressed his confidence that the graduates would make significant contributions to society with the knowledge and sense of responsibility they have gained.
AKU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Şuayıp Özdemir also addressed the graduates, emphasizing that learning is a lifelong process. He offered four key pieces of advice: “Whatever job you do, never belittle it; always be honest; question every piece of information; and if you find yourself in a leadership position, never stray from justice.”
The ceremony concluded with the symbolic presentation of diplomas and the traditional cap-throwing celebration.
